Favorites

OS 3 makes it easy for you to make a “Favorites” list of the rooms, smart devices, and scenes you use most frequently. Your favorite rooms will be front and center on your dashboard interface so that it’s faster than ever to pull up the room view you want. Once you’re in room view, you can save your favorite devices and scenes to that room.

You can even add favorite devices and scenes to rooms the technology isn’t physically in. For example, you might want to add your “Goodnight” scene — which turns off lights throughout the house, shuts down active electronics, locks all doors, and arms the alarm — to the master bedroom.

The primary purpose of the Favorites feature is to limit the number of touches and taps you have to make to get to the features you use the most.

 

Active Media Bar and Sessions

The Active Media Bar populates the music or video currently playing in a room. This feature includes a Now Playing screen so that you can adjust the volume, pause, mute or skip a song directly on the interface. The Sessions screen allows you to view what’s playing in every room and make quick adjustments no matter where you are in the house.

Control4 knows that controlling entertainment systems is one of the most popular uses for home automation. The Active Media Bar makes the entertainment experience more easily accessible and controllable.

 

Filter

The filtering feature makes navigating your vast home ecosystem and numerous smart devices faster and more streamlined. When you click the filter icon, you can isolate a search by room to see only the devices in a specific room. Or you can filter by device type to view the status of all window shades, door locks, or lights in the house. Sort your devices even further by selecting “active” or “inactive” status for similar devices.
